National Hockey Stadium’s Rs800 million three-star hotel project advances in Lahore

Lahore: Construction work is continuing on a three-star hotel project at the National Hockey Stadium under the Punjab Sports Department, adding a major new facility for players and visitors. The project is expected to include 62 rooms in a multi-storey building and is being developed at an estimated cost of Rs800 million. Officials say the hotel will mainly serve as a hostel for athletes during games and sports events, helping increase accommodation capacity beyond the existing space for around 350 players. When events are not taking place, the facility is expected to be used by the private sector as well. The project, targeted for completion by June 2028, can support sports tourism, hospitality activity, and nearby commercial growth. Can this project strengthen Lahore’s sports infrastructure?
