Deputy Commissioner Lahore Captain (R) Muhammad Ali Ejaz conducted a detailed inspection of Nishtar Colony, Bedian Road, RA Bazaar and adjoining areas in Tehsil Cantt. He reviewed sanitation operations, drain desilting, anti-dengue measures and construction work at a local school. Officials informed him that four dengue larvae samples had been detected and immediately destroyed, while targeted spraying was continuing across the area. Due to the sensitivity of the airport flight zone, the DC ordered frequent waste collection without establishing temporary dumping points. He directed sanitation teams to maintain daily cleanliness on major roads and residential streets under the Zero-Waste Policy. All drains must be desilted on priority to ensure the uninterrupted flow of wastewater. The DC also ordered anti-dengue spraying in ten surrounding houses whenever larvae are found. During the school inspection, he directed contractors to use high-quality construction material, complete the classrooms on time and strictly follow student-safety and cleanliness protocols.
