Residents and shopkeepers in Lahore’s Nasirabad area along Ferozepur Road are raising serious concerns over the deteriorating condition of a local park. The park’s protective fencing is damaged, while untreated sewage water has accumulated inside, creating breeding grounds for mosquitoes and increasing the risk of disease. Garbage is scattered across the park, and illegal stalls and encroachments have further reduced usable space for families and children. Locals say foul odors from the sewage are affecting nearby markets and harming business activity. Despite repeated complaints to the authorities, no effective steps have been taken to resolve the sewage issue or carry out repair and maintenance work. Residents have urged the Punjab government to immediately rehabilitate, clean, and restore the park for public use.
