Saudi Arabia to invest $10 billion in Gwadar oil refinery

Gwadar: Saudi Arabia is planning a major $10 billion investment to establish a large-scale oil refinery in Gwadar with a capacity of 400,000 barrels per day. Officials stated that the project is part of broader economic cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. Authorities highlighted that the refinery aims to strengthen Pakistan’s energy sector and reduce reliance on imported refined fuels. The initiative is also expected to create employment opportunities, attract further foreign investment and boost economic activity in Gwadar. Experts believe the project will enhance Pakistan’s strategic position as a regional energy hub and play a key role in long-term development planning.
