Rawalpindi Ring Road nears completion, over 90% finished

Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Ring Road project, spanning 38.6 kilometers, has reached its final stages with over 90% of construction completed. Key interchanges at Baanth, Chak Beli Khan, Adiala, and Chakri are fully finished, while minor sewerage work and finishing touches remain. Initial access will be available through the GT Road Baanth Interchange, with full motorway connectivity via Thalian Interchange once Phase II is complete. The Rs. 46.64 billion project, including land acquisition, aims to enhance traffic flow, regional connectivity, and economic activity. Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz is scheduled to inaugurate the road on June 15, providing residents with improved transportation infrastructure.
