Islamabad: Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Kainat Azhar Khan has officially assumed charge, taking immediate steps to oversee traffic management and enforcement across the city. Upon assuming office, he chaired a meeting with all zonal DSPs to review current traffic operations, enforcement strategies, and the quality of services provided to commuters. The Islamabad Traffic Police aims to enhance traffic discipline, ensure effective law enforcement, and provide citizens with high-standard travel facilities. Key directives include strict measures against lane violations, one-way contraventions, mobile phone usage while driving, seat belt violations, illegal number plates, underage driving, one-wheeling, and drifting. The CTO emphasized aligning city traffic management with modern standards for better commuter experience.
