Peshawar: A major anti-encroachment operation is continuing along Peshawar’s Ring Road and adjoining areas, with authorities demolishing illegal structures and reclaiming government land to improve public passages and traffic flow. Recent reports confirm that parts of a government girls’ school in Garhi Qamar Din were also identified as affected by the encroachment drive. The administration says the operation aims to widen roads, remove obstructions and improve commuting facilities, while the demolition of school boundary walls has raised questions about the treatment of existing public infrastructure.
