LAHORE – Under the leadership of IG Punjab Abdul Karim, the Punjab Safe Cities Authority held its first command conference to review Muharram security arrangements, law and order, and smart city operations. Officials provided detailed briefings on QR panic buttons, emergency response mechanisms, geo-tagging of over 4,500 Imam Bargahs, and advanced digital security mapping. Regional commanders and district managers reported on operational challenges and outcomes from smart operations centers across the province. The conference emphasized the use of intelligent monitoring, CCTV networks, and data analytics to prevent crimes and ensure public safety. IG Punjab distributed certificates of appreciation to officers, managers, and SSPs for exemplary performance, highlighting the critical role of Safe Cities technology in maintaining law and order during Muharram.
