Rain brings relief in Lahore, temperature drops across city

Lahore: Rainfall across various parts of the city has brought much-needed relief to residents from recent heat and humidity, significantly lowering temperatures. Light to moderate showers were recorded in multiple areas, creating a pleasant weather shift. However, water accumulation in some low-lying locations affected traffic flow, causing slow movement on key roads. Citizens were seen enjoying the cooler conditions, while motorcyclists and pedestrians adopted precautionary measures during the rain. According to the Meteorological Department, intermittent rainfall is expected to continue, with chances of further showers in the coming hours. Residents have welcomed the rain but urged authorities to improve drainage systems to prevent urban flooding and traffic disruptions.
