Punjab to launch province-wide disease prevention awareness campaign

Lahore: The Punjab government has decided to launch a province-wide public awareness campaign to prevent deadly diseases. Officials stated that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif will personally lead the initiative to raise awareness about prevention, early diagnosis and treatment.

Authorities highlighted that strict implementation of health SOPs will be ensured in both public and private healthcare facilities, while action will be taken against illegal clinics. The campaign will include prevention programs for major diseases such as diabetes, tuberculosis, AIDS and hepatitis.

Experts believe that such awareness initiatives can improve public health outcomes, reduce disease burden and strengthen the healthcare system across the province.
