Lahore: The Punjab government has announced a 60% subsidy on Super Seeders and Pak Seeders under the Chief Minister’s Punjab Clean Air Program to promote modern farming practices and reduce smog caused by crop residue burning. The initiative is being implemented across multiple districts including Multan, Lahore, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Bahawalpur, and Dera Ghazi Khan. Farmers can obtain application forms from Agriculture Department offices, service centers, or download them online from the official Punjab Agriculture website. The last date for submission is June 30, 2026. Officials say the program aims to encourage environmentally friendly farming methods, improve air quality, and eliminate the harmful practice of stubble burning, which has long contributed to seasonal air pollution. Can this subsidy drive accelerate the shift toward sustainable agriculture in Punjab?
