Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Expected to Unveil Vision Pakistan 2047

Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif is expected to formally unveil Vision Pakistan 2047 on August 12, coinciding with International Youth Day, as the government prepares a long-term national development roadmap. An official communication reviewed by Business Recorder says the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme has asked federal ministries and attached departments to submit strategic objectives, flagship reforms, policy commitments and development priorities through 2047. The proposed framework is expected to cover economic transformation, human capital, technology and innovation, environmental sustainability and governance reforms. The government also plans to align the existing Uraan Pakistan framework with the longer-term vision. Official Planning Commission material separately sets Uraan Pakistan’s economic ambition at $1 trillion by 2035 and $3 trillion by 2047.
