Punjab Green Bus serves over 32.5 million passengers, millions travel free or at Rs20|

Lahore: The Punjab Green Bus Service has achieved a major milestone under the vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, with over 32.5 million passengers travelling since its launch. According to official data, more than 13.7 million people benefited from free travel, including women, senior citizens, students and persons with disabilities. Additionally, around 18.8 million passengers used the service at a subsidised fare of just Rs20. Officials stated that the project aims to provide affordable, comfortable and environmentally friendly transportation across the province. The buses are equipped with modern facilities such as free Wi-Fi, mobile charging ports and surveillance cameras for passenger safety. Authorities emphasized that further improvements are planned to enhance service quality and expand public transport accessibility.
