Lahore: The Punjab government has announced the expansion of its 1122 emergency services to additional districts and towns across the province. New areas now covered include Hafizabad, Murree, Gujrat, Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Narowal, Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib, Okara, Sahiwal, Pakpattan, Khanewal, Muzaffargarh, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Rahim Yar Khan, Chiniot, Chakwal, Jhelum, Sargodha, Bhakkar, Lahore, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, and Layyah. The move aims to improve rapid emergency response, enhance public safety, and ensure timely medical and rescue services in urban and rural areas. Wider coverage is expected to strengthen community resilience and trust in provincial emergency infrastructure.
