NAB recovers 25,444 kanals worth Rs433 billion

Lahore: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB), in collaboration with the Punjab Board of Revenue, has reportedly recovered 25,444 kanals of land valued at approximately Rs433 billion through joint enforcement and accountability actions. Officials say the recovered land will be restored to government ownership, strengthening efforts to protect public assets and improve land administration across Punjab. The development is being viewed as one of the most significant land recovery efforts in recent years, highlighting increased scrutiny of state land records and illegal occupation cases. The recovery could enhance transparency in land management, support future public projects, and improve confidence in governance. Will this operation lead to broader action against illegal occupation of public land?
