Punjab Approves Rs. 25 Billion for New Development Projects

The Punjab Planning and Development Board approved Rs. 25 billion for several key projects during its 44th Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) meeting for the fiscal year 2025–26, chaired by Acting Chairman Rafiqat Ali.
Approved schemes include the Mother & Child Block at D.G. Khan Teaching Hospital (Rs. 6.07 billion), Children’s Hospital in Rawalpindi (Rs. 8.5 billion), Burn Units at Bahawal Victoria Hospital and Sheikh Zayed Hospital Rahim Yar Khan (Rs. 2 billion each), and Narowal Medical College (Rs. 6 billion).
The board also sanctioned upgradation of nursing schools, Maryam Nawaz Health Clinics, and Emergency Services vehicle procurement.
Senior officials and P&D Board members participated in the meeting.
