Rawalpindi: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has approved a major water infrastructure project at Daducha Dam to strengthen Rawalpindi’s long-term water supply system. The project includes a modern surface water treatment plant and an extensive water supply network, while WASA will develop the required distribution system to support reliable water delivery across the area. According to the Housing Department, the project is targeted for completion by December 2029. The initiative is expected to improve water availability and strengthen essential infrastructure, supporting the future development of residential areas and communities across Rawalpindi.
