The Punjab government has allocated Rs. 49 million for the proposed Rawalpindi–Murree Glass Train project under the ADP 2026–27. Aimed at enhancing tourism, the project will provide a modern scenic transport experience along one of Pakistan’s most popular hill routes. With a total estimated cost of Rs. 117 billion, the glass train will offer panoramic views of the landscape, improve regional connectivity, and reduce road congestion. Officials expect the initiative to boost tourism revenue and facilitate easier travel for domestic and international visitors.
