PRA cracks down on tax fraud, fines 3 units and issues 7 warnings

Lahore: The Punjab Revenue Authority has intensified enforcement actions against tax evasion and irregularities in service sectors. During inspections in the upscale Defence area, PRA teams audited records of prominent food chains and identified violations of tax laws. As a result, three units were fined while seven others were issued warning notices for non-compliance. Officials emphasized that registration with PRA is mandatory for all service providers and strict action will be taken against those involved in tax manipulation or delayed payments. Authorities reiterated that public taxes are a state trust and must be deposited transparently and on time to ensure proper governance and accountability.
