Police foil protesters’ bid to enter US Consulate in Lahore

Lahore: Police foiled an attempt by protesters to enter the US Consulate after demonstrators gathered near the diplomatic zone and tried to breach security. Law enforcement personnel responded swiftly and secured the premises, preventing any unauthorised entry. Protesters chanted slogans against the United States and continued a sit-in outside the high-security area. Authorities maintained heightened security and traffic monitoring in surrounding commercial corridors to avoid disruption. Officials said the situation remains under control but surveillance will continue to ensure public order and smooth movement in nearby business and residential areas of the provincial capital.
