PM Shehbaz reviews PPP model to accelerate development projects

Staff Reporter Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif chaired a high-level meeting to review and strengthen the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) framework for accelerating development projects across the country. Officials stated that key policy decisions were approved to enhance the efficiency and coordination of the PPP Authority (P3A).

Authorities highlighted that the system will be further integrated under the Privatization Division to improve execution speed and transparency. Ministries have been directed to enhance capacity and include PPP projects in their performance evaluation (KPIs).

Experts believe that a stronger PPP framework can attract private investment, improve infrastructure delivery and support long-term economic growth.
