Noor-ul-Amin Mengal reviews housing bodies, orders fast-track reforms and project completion

Punjab: Secretary Housing Noor-ul-Amin Mengal chaired a high-level meeting to review the performance of housing department’s subordinate bodies, focusing on policy reforms, infrastructure and ongoing development schemes. Officials were directed to finalise proposed laws, rules and regulations on priority and ensure timely completion of all projects in line with the Chief Minister’s vision. The meeting also reviewed matters related to WASA, water supply and horticulture, with emphasis on expanding horticulture agencies to more districts and improving urban aesthetics. Authorities were instructed to enforce safety SOPs at construction sites and adopt environmentally sustainable policies. Officials believe these steps will strengthen governance, improve service delivery and support sustainable urban development across Punjab.
