DG LDA Tahir Farooq reviews Bhatti Chowk underpass, orders 24/7 construction

Lahore: Director General LDA Tahir Farooq visited Data Darbar and Bhatti Chowk remodeling project sites to review construction progress. Officials reported that 70 out of 375 piles for the 375-metre-long three-lane underpass have been completed. The DG directed contractors to ensure round-the-clock work to meet deadlines and deploy additional labour where required. He also instructed authorities to focus on finishing works of the pedestrian zone and underpass near Data Darbar, along with facade upgradation of surrounding buildings. Emphasis was placed on maintaining safety standards and ensuring smooth traffic flow during construction. Authorities believe the project will significantly improve traffic movement and enhance urban infrastructure in the area.
