NEPRA Cuts Electricity Tariff by Rs1.98 Per Unit Across Pakistan

Islamabad – The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has announced a reduction of Rs1.98 per unit in electricity tariffs, providing a net relief of Rs0.80 per unit to consumers across Pakistan, including Karachi. This follows multiple quarterly adjustments and aims to balance rising fuel costs while partially relieving households and businesses amid increasing energy concerns. The April 2026 fuel charge of Rs1.19 per unit will be applied in June bills. The move is expected to benefit consumers financially and ease some pressure on the cost of electricity.
