Maryam Nawaz Sends 10 Electric Buses to AJK, Fulfilling Election Promise

Islamabad: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has dispatched 10 electric buses to Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), fulfilling a transport commitment announced alongside PML-N President Nawaz Sharif during the party’s election campaign in Muzaffarabad. The buses departed from Islamabad and are intended to provide modern, environmentally friendly public transport services in AJK. During the election rally, the PML-N leadership had promised to introduce Punjab-style development initiatives in the region, including electric buses, healthcare services and youth support programmes. The electric buses are part of that broader commitment aimed at improving public transport and promoting green mobility in Azad Kashmir.
