LDA seals 143 illegal commercial properties in Lahore crackdown

Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority has intensified its crackdown against illegal commercial activities, sealing 143 properties across multiple areas under its controlled jurisdiction. The operation was carried out in Defence Road, Lahore Avenue, Gulshan Ravi, Samanabad, Ataturk Block New Garden Town, Canal Road, and Sabzazar. Officials stated that properties were sealed due to unauthorized commercial usage and non-payment of commercialization fees. A wide range of establishments including schools, workshops, restaurants, clinics, and retail outlets were affected. Authorities emphasized that strict enforcement actions will continue without discrimination to regulate urban development, ensure compliance with building regulations, and improve planned commercial activity across Lahore.
