LDA Launches Modern Walkway Project on Gulberg Main Boulevard

Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has launched a modern urban walkway under its Sustainable Development Program along Gulberg Main Boulevard in Lahore. The project involves constructing a 16-foot-wide pedestrian walkway along the service lane from Barkat Market to Liberty, featuring a unified design and symmetry across multiple stretches, including areas before and after Kalma Chowk. Initially planned at 20 feet, the width was revised to 16 feet to accommodate traffic needs. The walkway will include seating areas, modern lighting, and landscaped features to provide a safe and comfortable pedestrian environment. LDA aims to enhance the boulevard’s aesthetics and explore development charges from adjacent properties to ensure long-term sustainability of the project.
