Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority has reviewed a proposed urban-regeneration plan for around 15 kilometres of Ferozepur Road from Canal Bank Road to Gajjumata. The plan includes improvements on both sides of the corridor, removal of encroachments, new footpaths, parking spaces, façade upgrades, removal of unnecessary signage, seating areas beneath flyovers and a drop lane near a hospital. Abdul Sattar Edhi Underpass is also proposed for beautification under a sustainable-development model.

The meeting, chaired by Director General LDA Tahir Farooq, also reviewed progress on the proposed Chowk Nakhuda underpass in Shadbagh. The planned two-way, two-lane underpass is expected to facilitate more than 100,000 vehicles daily.
