Ali Raza Wajid : Lahore: Lahore Traffic Police has decided to conduct psychological check-ups of traffic wardens to assess their behavior, mental health, and ability to handle public pressure during field duty. According to officials, psychologists will review wardens’ responses in different simulated situations and conduct short psychological tests for field staff. Their capacity to handle stress will also be evaluated, while officials have also decided to review family-related factors to better understand overall behavior and mental condition. Based on psychological reports, corrective measures will be taken, and a support program for mental health improvement is also under consideration. The initiative matters because mentally fit traffic staff can improve public dealing, road discipline, commuter confidence, and urban mobility. Can psychological screening improve traffic service standards in Lahore?
