Multan issues diversion plan for Nishtar Road works

Ali Raza Wajid : Multan: Under the Punjab Development Program, construction work is underway on Nishtar Road in line with Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s development vision. To maintain smooth traffic flow, a temporary diversion plan has been issued on the directions of CTO Multan. Traffic will enter Nishtar Hospital through the emergency gate and Gate No. 2, while Gate No. 3 will be used as an exit. After consultation with Nishtar administration, vehicles from Gate No. 3 are being diverted through Nishtar Chowk. Entry from Nishtar Chowk toward Nishtar Road has been temporarily closed, while emergency vehicles and ambulances will continue using Gate No. 5. The plan can reduce congestion, support hospital access, and protect urban mobility. Can better traffic planning reduce construction-related disruption?
