LDA reviews urban regeneration works around Railway Station

Muhammad Muzamil Awan : Lahore: DG LDA Tahir Farooq visited Railway Station and Misri Shah to review ongoing works under the urban regeneration initiative. Officials briefed him on façade upgrades, footpath development, parking area improvement, railway wall beautification, greenery, seating arrangements, and beautification work under the flyover. The DG also visited Kacha Rahim Road and Aziz Road in Misri Shah, where similar regeneration work is being carried out around commercial and urban spaces. Chief Engineer LDA Israr Saeed and the project director briefed him, while contractors, LDA, and NESPAK officers were also present. The project matters because urban regeneration improves public spaces, commercial movement, property outlook, and investment appeal. Can these upgrades revive older city corridors and boost local business activity?
