Multan plans BCG Chowk expansion for traffic relief

Ali Raza Wajid : Multan: On the directions of Chief Traffic Officer Muhammad Nabeel, traffic police and Multan Development Authority teams visited BCG Chowk to review traffic issues and identify practical solutions. MDA Director Enforcement Muhammad Imran, his team, and Traffic Management Incharge Ali Hassan were present during the visit. Officials measured government land around the chowk to identify space that could be used for widening the intersection and improving traffic flow. The location faces heavy pressure during school opening and closing hours, as well as at night due to heavy vehicles. Nearby commercial areas, including grain, iron, and wood markets, further increase congestion. The initiative can improve mobility, market access, business movement, and surrounding property value. Can this expansion reduce Multan’s commercial traffic pressure?
