Lahore traffic challenges discussed in key meeting

Ali Raza Wajid : Lahore: CTO Lahore Syed Abdul Rahim Sherazi met SSP Motorway N-5 Atif Shahzad and discussed traffic management challenges in the provincial capital. During the meeting, officers reviewed the pressure of Lahore’s road network and the need for better coordination between city traffic police and motorway authorities. The CTO said managing more than eight million vehicles in Lahore is a major challenge, while the SSP Motorway appreciated the efforts of traffic wardens. The meeting matters because strong coordination can improve traffic flow, road safety, commuter experience, and access to commercial and residential areas. Better traffic management also supports business movement, urban mobility, and investor confidence. Can stronger interdepartmental coordination reduce Lahore’s traffic pressure?
