Lahore police brief officers on smart traffic system

Ali Raza Wajid: Lahore: Officers from the third specialized training course visited the CTO Office, where CTO Lahore Syed Abdul Raheem Shirazi briefed under-training officers of Balochistan Police on smart traffic management, e-challaning, road safety, paperless licensing, digital monitoring and service infrastructure. The briefing highlights Lahore’s growing shift toward technology-based traffic governance and faster enforcement against violations. Such systems can improve road discipline, reduce congestion and support safer daily commuting across the city. For real estate and urban growth, better traffic management improves access to commercial hubs, residential zones and major corridors, which can increase location value and investor confidence. Can smart policing reshape Lahore’s urban mobility model?
