Karachi’s Garden Water Pumping Station has been restored after remaining non-operational for more than two decades, marking an important improvement in the city’s water supply infrastructure. The Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation completed rehabilitation work, including repairs to the station’s infrastructure, electric motors and control systems. The restored facility will supply water through 24-inch and 18-inch pipelines to Garden, Lyari, Soldier Bazaar, Nishtar Road, Ranchore Line, Ramswami and surrounding areas. The project is expected to benefit around 300,000 residents by improving water availability and strengthening basic civic services in Karachi.
