Jeddah Tower Crosses 80 Floors, Nears World’s Tallest Building Title

Construction of the Jeddah Tower has officially surpassed 80 completed floors, bringing the landmark closer to reclaiming the title of the world’s tallest building. Once completed, the tower is expected to rise above 1,000 meters, surpassing Burj Khalifa, which currently stands at 828 meters. After facing prolonged delays due to economic and geopolitical challenges, construction momentum accelerated in 2025, with completion now targeted for 2028. The mixed-use megastructure will include luxury hotels, offices, residential units, and the world’s highest observation deck, supported by 59 high-speed elevators. Featuring an energy-efficient design, the project reflects Saudi Arabia’s strategy to diversify its economy through iconic real estate and infrastructure developments.
