Islamabad to Get Two-Year Development Plan Under Vision 2027

The federal government has announced a two-year development initiative for Islamabad, titled Vision 2027, aimed at transforming the capital through targeted infrastructure and urban improvement projects. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi made the announcement during a ceremony in Islamabad, stating that the plan will focus on cost efficiency, quality construction, and timely completion of projects.Officials confirmed that multiple development schemes are being prepared under Vision 2027. The interior minister also highlighted ongoing actions against illegal encroachments, noting that such structures hinder urban planning and development. Additionally, he announced that Islamabad’s water shortage will be addressed on a priority basis, with a dedicated task force already working on the issue.
