Filtration plant on Wahdat Road becomes unusable for residents

Lahore: A public filtration plant installed near Bheke Wala Mor on Wahdat Road has reportedly become non-functional due to poor maintenance and lack of regular monitoring. Residents say the facility, originally set up to provide clean drinking water, is now surrounded by garbage and has turned into a gathering spot for drug users. Broken taps and unhygienic conditions have made it difficult for citizens to collect water, particularly during Ramadan when demand for clean drinking water increases. Locals have urged the authorities to immediately repair the filtration system, improve sanitation and take action against illegal activities around the site to restore the facility for community use.
