Dubai: Dubai Municipality has opened a 102-metre bridge at Mushrif National Park, creating a safer continuous route for mountain bikers and hikers through Dubai’s largest forest. The bridge connects two previously separated sections of the mountain-biking trail, meaning cyclists no longer need to stop and cross a road used by vehicles. It has two dedicated lanes, separating mountain bikers from hikers to improve safety and movement across the park. Dubai Media Office says the complete biking journey across the new connection extends 182 metres. The bridge is now open to visitors, who can begin their cycling or hiking journey from Mushrif Hub. The project forms part of Dubai Municipality’s wider effort to expand outdoor recreation and encourage active lifestyles.
