Karachi: The Natha Khan Link Road, connecting Shahrah-e-Faisal with Gulistan-e-Johar, is nearing completion and is expected to open to the public soon. Karachi Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab announced the development during an inspection of ongoing construction work on October 12, 2026. However, no confirmed opening date has been announced.
According to the mayor, the approximately 2.25-kilometre connecting road is designed to provide an alternative route between Gulistan-e-Johar and Shahrah-e-Faisal. Once operational, it is expected to improve traffic flow, reduce congestion on surrounding roads and make daily travel easier for residents.
During his visit, Murtaza Wahab also reviewed construction progress on the Chakor Nullah Expressway, another road improvement project intended to improve access towards Johar Mor, Rashid Minhas Road and Airport Road.
The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) is also carrying out road reconstruction and rehabilitation work in other areas, including Chand Bibi Road near Civil Hospital, Pehlwan Goth, PECHS Block 6 and locations around Guru Mandir and Meeruth Kebab House.
The Natha Khan Link Road remains under construction. Its final opening date and confirmed readiness for unrestricted public traffic have not yet been officially established.
