Data Darbar Lights Up as LDA Director General Tahir Farooq Reviews Night Upgrade

Lahore: Lahore Development Authority Director General Tahir Farooq carried out a late-night inspection of the Hazrat Ali Hajveri Underpass and Data Darbar area, reviewing development and finishing work being carried out during the night shift. LDA’s latest update says a green area and walking street have now been developed outside Data Darbar, while solar and decorative lighting has been installed around the shrine.

The latest activity is mainly focused on the surrounding urban upgrade and finishing works. The Hazrat Ali Hajveri/Bhati Chowk Underpass itself has already been opened to traffic; an August 31 inspection confirmed vehicles were using the facility, while work on adjoining roads, façades, pedestrian facilities and other finishing elements continued.

The wider Data Darbar remodelling scheme has included pedestrian areas, parking, façade improvements, walkways and better visitor facilities. Earlier project plans also specifically included a green area in front of the shrine and pedestrian zones/walkways, which are now appearing in the latest LDA update as completed elements.
