CM Sindh Inaugurates Rs. 6.1 Billion Korangi Causeway Bridge in Karachi

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has inaugurated the Rs. 6.1 billion Korangi Causeway Bridge, a major infrastructure project aimed at improving connectivity in Karachi. The 1.4-kilometer-long, six-lane bridge has been constructed over the Malir River, linking the Korangi Industrial Area with the city’s East and South districts. The bridge is expected to facilitate daily travel for nearly five million commuters and ensure uninterrupted access during the monsoon season, when the area previously became inaccessible. The chief minister said the project is part of broader efforts to restore Karachi’s infrastructure, adding that work is also underway to connect Shahrah-i-Bhutto with Korangi Road, which is expected to open by Eid or shortly afterward.
