CDA ordered to trace 175 missing property files

Islamabad: A high-level joint committee comprising the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and Intelligence Bureau (IB) has directed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to trace 175 missing property files. Out of a total of 250 files, these remain unaccounted for, with initial investigations suggesting potential internal irregularities and attempts to hide corruption. The committee has instructed CDA management to provide all relevant records, documents, and details immediately. Officials stated the inquiry aims to identify responsible individuals, safeguard public interest, and recommend measures to prevent similar incidents. This investigation has become critical for record integrity, transparency, and accountability in Pakistan’s real estate sector.
