PCB Approves Oval-Style Cricket Stadium in Lahore, Major Upgrades Planned

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has approved the redevelopment of Lahore’s LCCA Ground into Pakistan’s first Oval-style cricket stadium, inspired by England’s iconic Oval. The project aims to deliver a modern, world-class venue capable of hosting both domestic and international cricket matches.According to PCB officials, the upgraded stadium will feature improved seating capacity, modern player facilities, enhanced media infrastructure, and a better match-day experience for spectators, aligned with international standards.During the same meeting, the PCB Board of Governors also approved major upgrades to Karachi’s National Stadium. The board reviewed initiatives to strengthen domestic cricket, expand grassroots tournaments, and enhance preparations for upcoming ICC men’s and women’s events.
