Underground water tank at Lakshmi Chowk expanded to 4 million gallons

Lahore: The underground water storage tank at Lakshmi Chowk has been expanded to a capacity of 4 million gallons as part of efforts to improve urban water management. Officials said the upgraded tank will help store excess rainwater during heavy rainfall and reduce the risk of urban flooding in surrounding areas. The project is also expected to strengthen the city’s drainage system and improve infrastructure resilience. Authorities believe that residents will benefit from better water management and reduced water accumulation on roads during the monsoon season.
