LDA demolishes 16 illegal structures, seals 41 properties in Lahore crackdown

Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) carried out a large-scale operation against illegal constructions across multiple areas of the city, demolishing 16 structures and sealing 41 properties. The enforcement teams conducted actions in Johar Town, Rehman Abad, Pine Avenue, Defence Road, Wapda Town, Shadman, Gulberg, New Garden Town and Sabzazar. Several properties were sealed due to illegal commercial use and non-payment of commercial fees, including private schools, grocery stores, pharmacies, clinics, restaurants and offices. Officials stated that the operation was conducted under the directions of DG LDA Tahir Farooq and Vice Chairman Mian Marghoob Ahmed, who have ordered strict and continuous action against illegal constructions across Lahore.
