Lahore: As rainfall continued at different locations across the city, WASA Managing Director Ghufran Ahmad visited low-lying areas to review drainage and monsoon response operations. He inspected the Baghichi Monsoon Camp and GT Road Mughalpura, where Director Waqas Liaqat briefed him on rainwater clearance and field activities. The MD reviewed the performance of monsoon camps and field teams and directed officials to keep all underpasses and identified hotspots clear. He ordered staff to remain active until the last drop of accumulated water is removed, while disposal stations, pumping machinery, generators, and emergency camps must operate at full capacity. Teams were also instructed to begin street-level sweeping immediately after the rain stops.
