MD WASA Inspects Garden Town Drainage During Lahore Rain

Lahore: Rain continued across different parts of Lahore as WASA Lahore remained engaged in drainage and field operations to minimize urban flooding. During the ongoing weather situation, Managing Director Ghufran Ahmed, accompanied by LDA Director General Tahir Farooq, visited Garden Town and the adjoining Barkat Market areas to inspect drainage operations and review progress on the under-construction Water Tank Drain project. According to WASA, the project is expected to significantly reduce urban flooding in Barkat Market and nearby localities by improving stormwater management. Officials stated that ensuring public convenience and maintaining uninterrupted drainage operations remain WASA Lahore’s top priorities during the monsoon season.
