Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has launched a major infrastructure upgrade across Lahore, allocating Rs2 billion to replace aging gas pipelines during the current financial year. Under the plan, a total of 330 kilometers of pipelines will be replaced in Lahore’s East and West regions to ensure stable gas supply and improved pressure. The Lahore East Region will see the replacement of 209 kilometers of pipelines with an approved budget of Rs1.25 billion, while the West Region will replace 128 kilometers at a cost of Rs630 million. Work has already commenced in areas including Amar Sidhu, Kahna, Badami Bagh, China Scheme, Gulberg, and Sabzazar.
