SNGPL Launches Major Gas Pipeline Replacement Project in Lahore

Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has launched a major gas infrastructure upgrade in Lahore, replacing aging pipelines to ensure stable gas supply and improved pressure for consumers. Under the initiative, 209 kilometers of gas pipelines will be replaced in Lahore as part of a broader modernization plan. For the Lahore West Region, SNGPL has allocated Rs630 million, while the Lahore East Region has received Rs1.25 billion for pipeline replacement and associated works. The company said that during the current financial year, a total of 330 kilometers of gas pipelines will be replaced across various areas. Officials stated that the project aims to reduce leakages, enhance safety, and improve service reliability for residential, commercial, and industrial consumers.
